Shalom I and II. More than Subsidized Housing, Supportive Housing.

At first look, Shalom I and II are 153 units of affordable housing. But we’ve always seen it as something more. Here’s why. Shalom Apartments also integrates strong support programs, tenant activities, and a community meal site.

A social services worker is always on hand to assess tenant needs and provide help with appropriate agencies and services. Our central dining room provides noontime meals for the elderly, while several Shalom tenants attend a nearby kosher meal site.

A Place To Live. An Environment Where People Thrive.

In addition, a resident activities coordinator, crafts instructor, exercise director, and an exceptional tenants association keep the energy levels high with planned trips, meetings, speaker programs, exercise classes, parties, and regular movie screenings.

For information on how Shalom Apartments meets the housing and social needs of Rhode Island’s qualified elderly and disabled, call Bonnie Sekeres at 401.738.4414 or email .

Shalom I and II are managed by the Jewish Seniors Agency and have earned a superior rating from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
