The Jewish Seniors Agency’s Comprehensive Adult Day Center offered a Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Screening for their participants, sponsored by CareLink, Incorporated.

The screening took place on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Day Center, located at 229 Waterman Street, Providence, Rhode Island.

Many of the center’s participants use ill-fitting apparatus like walkers and canes to help them ambulate just as many wear improper footwear or suffer from skeletal postural and gait problems, putting them at risk for falls both at home and at the center. As part of the center’s Falls Prevention Program, each of our participants was assessed and, if needed, were referred to a rehab specialist for follow-up and treatment.
